Our Wellness Partners
To administer the Take Charge program, EIT partners with StayWell® Health Management and Free & Clear® – two of the most respected wellness program providers in the industry.
Take Charge is Confidential
The Take Charge program is completely confidential. In fact, it is illegal for our wellness partners, StayWell Health Management and Free & Clear, to share your health information with EIT or your employer.

Because your health is important, EIT provides active, covered participants and their spouses a voluntary health benefit through a program called
Take Charge: It’s Your Health. This program puts you in the driver’s seat when it comes to your health, and there are no additional charges to participate.

Take the Health Assessment
To achieve or maintain your desired state of health, you need to know your health status. Learn about your current level of health by taking the Health Assessment, a 15-minute, confidential questionnaire. Once you complete the assessment, you will receive results outlining health risks you may face, and recommended actions to maintain or improve your health.
Complete a NextSteps Program

Depending on the results of your Health Assessment, you may be recommended to participate in a NextSteps® program. These programs can help you:

  • Quit tobacco
  • Eat a healthier diet
  • Manage stress
  • Reduce your cholesterol
  • Strengthen your back and prevent back pain
  • Lower your blood pressure
  • Find time to exercise
  • And more!

Through the NextSteps® program, you can work with a Health Coach over the phone to help you set and achieve your health goals, or you can receive monthly mailings.

A Note From Jim

I took the Health Assessment last year and found out I wasn't as healthy as I thought. When I heard the Health Assessment was available this year, I decided to take it again to see how I've done compared to last year. And my wife, Margaret, took it too. Guess what? While our health has improved, we were both invited to take a NextSteps program. Since we'd like to continue to improve our health and keep in shape, we've started walking a couple of nights each week. And instead of hibernating this winter, we'll set some goals with a health coach and look forward to spring.
